When building up their destroyer flotillas in the mid-1930's the underlying principle was to offset lack of quantity with quality. Consequently, the first series of Destroyers were, at the time, among the largest in the world. After the war she was passed to Russia as the 'PYLKP and was scrapped in 1961. ( Hull length 24).
