HMS BELFAST

One of two ships of the third group of the ' Southampton' Class. ( Hull length 38.1/4"). The ship served with the Home Fleet from 1939-1945 and with the Pacific Fleet in 1945. She was severely damaged by a mine in 1939 and was under repair until 1942. She took part in the St. Stephen's Day action against "SCHARNHORST". The ship is now preserved in the Pool of London. Sister-ship: EDINBURGH.
