Name-ship of a class of small protected Cruisers. The drawing shows the ship disarmed and converted to a minelayer as in 1909. On the outbreak of war APPOLLO was fitted with four 4.7" guns and with her Sisters formed a minelaying squadron during 1914-15. Sister-ships: BRILLIANT, RAINBOW, SIRIUS, SAPPHO, ANDROMACHE, IPHIGENIA, INTREPID, LATONA NAIAD and THETIS. (Hull Length 19.5/8') One sheet plan :
